Music video analysis 3- Weightless- Animations influences on our music video- researching music videos

In this music video, Weightless, the animations was really something that appealed to me, and something i have put forward as a suggestion to the group to try and use similar effects when we start editing. I noticed how the words that popped up on the screen were not the actual lyrics, instead they were words that the band were thinking and what they are doing.

This is different from when we looked at the song 'All i want' by A day to remember. Where all the animations on screen where the actual lyrics of the song. They also included arrows, and the question marks with an X on the bottom is appealing to their target audience as it is different, and once again links in to the emo idea and what they demand.

It was important to look at other music videos within our genre and see how their music videos differ to other genres, and with a few that we have researched so far, they use a lot of post-effects in editing.
They also focused on effects coming off of the instruments, which makes the video more interesting and different.
